The main point of accumulation of grease in a commercial kitchen extraction system is in the canopy plenum, located just behind the filters and this may need cleaning more often than the rest of the ducting. The canopy filters itself should be cleaned on a regular basis, at least every seven days. This allows hot air and grease to pass more quickly through the extract system and exhausted to the exterior. Canopy drip trays should also be cleaned at least every seven days, although this may need to happen more regularly if the cooking style produces high levels of grease.
We will ensure your kitchen canopy and system is cleaned using the most up to date methods and materials according to TR19 standards, ensuring we deliver the most comprehensive and competitive service within our industry.
On completion, a report shall be issued with an overview of the systems cleaned along with pre and post-cleaning photographic records and measurements. We will also issue a certificate summarising the cleaning works completed, and can provide the COSHH data of any chemicals used.
Your canopy and grease extraction cleaning should be carried out by an accredited member, Excitor is an accredited TR19 Duct Cleaning Company providing certification and reports for all works carried out.
We ensure your kitchen extraction canopy and system are maintained to a safe standard and legal to TR19 requirements.
